Senior Integration Specialist

Experience/Knowledge:
Essential
- Experience in a management / team lead role
- Extensive knowledge of HL7 2.x, 3, FHIR and CDA messaging in relation to NHS workflows, including ITK.
- Extensive previous experience developing/supporting systems integration using Ensemble / HealthConnect or Mirth.
- Extensive experience of Microsoft SQL Server.
- Extensive experience of at least one programming language.
- Extensive experience of software development / database design and management using structured methodologies
- Substantial experience of IT project management including resource estimation, identification of risk for business cases, and production of relevant project documentation
- Experience in reporting progress back to programme management
Attributes:
- Ability to manage a team of interface engineers
- Ability to plan and manage the integration team’s workload
- Work with stakeholders and other work streams within the programme
- Ability to communicate a range of Informatics issues which can be complex and multi-stranded
- Be able to react to changing priorities, assessing these changes and re-planning accordingly
- Ability to make judgements on multi-stranded or complex Informatics problems which may have no precedent or where there are conflicting opinions
- Ability to plan and organise broad range of complex activities, formulate and adjust plans which impact beyond own area
- Ability to manage, motivate and develop team members through mentorship and advising
- Collaborative approach and good team working
- Ability to work effectively and efficiently under pressure
